Partnering with Teknion, they repurposed furniture through the Divert Program, creating a functional space with a computer lab and community room.       Black History Month Event: Special Guest - Steve Anderson 

       

      Last week, we were honored to host Steve Anderson as our special guest for Black History Month. Steve delivered an insightful presentation on Black history, tying his inspiring personal story into his keynote. He even bridged our messaging of “Energizing Social Spaces” with the notion of fostering an “Inclusive and Welcoming Environment”, underscoring our commitment to these ideals that guide our everyday efforts.

       

      Steve is a Senior practicing litigation lawyer with over 20 years of experience with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) where he has received several awards for his distinguished service. He is also a published author (www.driventosucceed.ca) with his memoir Driven to Succeed and his Amazon’s Best Seller’s children’s book, Why Not Me? Most recently, Steve was recognized as a top 100 Influential Black Canadian.
