2022 is more than halfway over (wasn't that fast?!) and the industry still seems to be grappling with mixed thoughts on the future of the workplace. Specifically, how will furniture affect the future of the workplace, given everything we've learned these past several years from the pandemic?
Our team has digested tons of takeaways from the massive NeoCon tradeshow, an event that sets the stage for furniture design and the future of the workplace. Read on for our summaries of NeoCon, and more of the latest and greatest in the industry!
Our NeoCon Takeaways
Our design specialists compiled common themes for space division, mobility, planters, textured fabrics, elevated power, and terracotta color scheme from this year's NeoCon that we feel will set the stage for the new workplace. Check them out below.
Some of our favorite new projects that we've completed
Singular Genomics
Singular Genomics, a major biotech firm, selected The Collective as the exclusive furniture partner for their new interior buildout in Southern California. The immense FF&E package included c-suite offices, boardrooms, workstations, private offices, meeting rooms, collaboration space, eateries and coffee/work zones, surf and shower rooms, and quiet rooms. Singular Genomics also allowed our ancillary curation team the chance to complete the space with local artwork and decorative accessories.
Ashley is our Design Manager at The Collective USA, who recently celebrated her 10-year anniversary with us. “Even after 10 years”, she mentions, “I still really enjoy typical development. Figuring out how we can build a creative, out-of-the-box typical that is specific to a certain user and company is like putting a puzzle together. I enjoy the challenge.”
To create connectedness in the workplace can be challenging to implement. Most organizations run on a “that’s just how we do things around here” mentality instead of “how can we do things better around here?” The answer comes from creating a new and improved tribe and a true environment of psychological safety.
